We want to be known just as much for our sending capacity as our seating capacity. We want to be a church that sends people all over this community and the earth to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Christ. Are you involved in missions and outreach at Pointe North?

Perhaps if there were more of that intense distress for souls that leads to tears, we should more frequently see the results we desire. Sometimes it may be that while we are complaining of the hardness of the hearts of those we are seeking to benefit, the hardness of our own hearts and our feeble apprehension of the solemn reality of eternal things may be the true cause of our want of success.

“Would we be missed?” That is the basic question. We ask that question all the time at Pointe North. “If we, as a Church, went away tomorrow, would we be missed in the community?” We want the answer to be a resounding “YES”. We want to be known as a Church that helps people. And through helping, we have a unique opportunity to share Jesus’ love to individuals, to families, to children that may never have experienced that love before.

In Matt 22, Jesus was asked: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

So how do we, how do you, show love to someone we don’t know? We show love through Outreach. Outreach at PNC involves a lot of prayer and it involves putting those prayers into action – being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Global Missions

Dominican Republic  |  Honduras

There is so much work to be done right here in our own community, however, in Matthew 28:19 Jesus is clear that we are to "make disciples of all nations."  This is why we also focus our efforts outside of our own backyard. Currently we are sending short-term teams to the Dominican Republic and Honduras. We believe teams that go each year to the same field and/or the same church situation are more effective. This allows continuity of contact and better building of relationships, which are keys to effectiveness.

Another measurement of impact is the growth of our participants themselves. Successful team-members influence other church members and grow in their involvement in mission programs.  Each journey begins almost five months before our team-members board a plane and includes intense training, study and team-building exercises. Team members are required to submit an application, pay a non-refundable deposit, participate in fundraising and attend all team meetings before and after the trip.

Our Ministry Partners

At Pointe North we recognize that to fulfill our calling we must think as THE church, not just A church. THE church consists of the entire body of believers regardless of denomination or organization and we believe that with collaboration, comes success. Below are the organizations we are currently partnering with to move the mission forward.
